Truck Bumper

During my junior year of high school, I built a bumper for my truck. I designed the bumper on paper and based it off of one I had seen online. I had not taken any statics or mechanics of materials class, so I based the wall thickness off of what other people use and what I knew would be excessively strong. It was made using 2" 3/16" wall DOM tubing. I then added tabs for a light bar, added mounts for shackles and fabricated a skid plate to protect the radiator on the truck. All the parts were then coated in LineX, the material used for spray-on truck bed lining.
